What do you think is the best way to learn a language?

Formerly, knowing an international language for all people and countries of the planet was dispensable as the world was not so globalized and means of transport were are not so developed. Now, knowing   this language is very important to communicate with everybody, looking for a job or study, even in your own country.
Firstly, the communication would be easier if we all spoke the same international language. The schools should teach English from an early age, the same level as the Catalan and Spanish, and even give it more importance.
Secondly, English fosters relationships between people around the world as it is the international language. Wherever you go you will speak English thanks to the massive arrival of tourists in Spain, so you will have to use this language from time to time.
In my view, the English language is becoming more important but I think the Spanish education system should change the way to teach it, focusing on oral expression more than theory.

‘The press has a right to publish photographs and information about the private life of celebrities’

Many times, paparazzi can be quite annoying as they do not stop to follow celebrities and they lose the intimacy altogether.
Firstly, I think That the press hasn’t got the right to publish photographs and information about the private life of celebrities because this means they are invading the privacy of some people who have their own right to live peacefully and make ordinary life.
Secondly, paparazzis have no right to photograph anyone without their consent as these may cause several problems.
To sum up, the paparazzi take pictures of the famous because society wants to see them. This means that we all blame the people, we are "feeding the photographers".

LET'S TALK ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE!

The climate change is a phenomenal which is very dangerous and can affect all the people who live in the Earth.

Firstly, if there was climate change the Earth temperature would raise up, which would wake raise the sea level and a lot of cities in the world would flooding and people would have to leave that city.

Secondly, if there was climate change there would be loads of catastrophic phenomena such as floods, earthquakes, tsunamis…

I believe that if we don’t do anything to stop climate change, there wish to be horrible consequences which would affect the whole world.

DIALOGUE

BEN: Hi mum!

MUM: Hi Albert, how are you?

BEN: Good, thanks. One think, I can go tomorrow to the party in Salou?

MUM: No, because you have to study and do homework. Besides, you have failed the English exam and I am very angry. You will stay at home and when you finish the exams maybe I let you go.

BEN: But if I studied a week before to go to the party, and I already know almost. In addition, I can spend the night in the Salou house and tomorrow will return early, at about 1 or 2.

MUM: I said no, and what is not is not, period. Go to your room and orders this because is very disorderly and then go down to stop the table.

BEN: This is a crap! Someday I’ll go home

MUM: Okay, but it’ll do as I say.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to complain about a meal my family and I had in the Café Royal restaurant last Saturday night.

We have eaten in this restaurant on many occasions and the background music has always been very low and pleasant. However, on this particular evening the music was terribly loud, almost deafening. When the waiter took our order, I asked him politely if he could turn the music down, which he did.

However, while we were eating, the music was turned up again and we could hardly hear ourselves speak. This time I asked to see the manager. He spoke to us in an extremely rude and unfriendly way. He told us that we were the only customers who asked if the music could be turned down. We were so angry we decided to leave without ending our meal.

I will not come back to your restaurant again unless I receive an explanation and an apology for the unacceptable treatment we received.

Yours faithfully,

Albert Calvente

How you imagine your life will be 2050

I believe that in 2050 I will have a stable life, married with a beautiful woman and I will have three or four kids and a dog. I would like to work in a big city, in a foreign country such as Norway, Finland or Sweden and I also would like to have the typical house in the mountain but in a modern style, with its fireplace and I’d like to celebrate Christmas there with the whole family, I’d decorate the house ful of the typical ornaments and the Christmas tree.

I’m sure I will have a second house on a Greek island, I’ll go there in summer and I will have a luxury yacht to be able to travel around the world, whenever I want and wherever I want.
In 2050 unfortunately I will start getting older and ugly and I will start feeling pain in my back. I  hope I will to retire soon, and be a pensioner and I’m sure I’ll love traveling with the “inserso”.

"Girls and boys should be taught separately"

In many Catholic schools, where families of students pay an amount of money every month, the boys and girls are taught separately. However, there are arguments both for and against it.

One of the advantages is that the student's result improve. Another argument is that in this way the kids have no sexual attraction to girls and vice versa, in this way children focus in their studies. Although the possibility exists that there are people who feel same-sex attraction, but it would be a minority.

On the other hand, being taught separately is an inconvenientce. Children doesn't learn how to live with people from the opposite sex and in the future, they can have problems when relating to women/men.

On balance, there are a lot of opinions, good ones and bad ones and we have to understand and respect all of them.
